Members of the UJN delegation fact finding mission, attended protests in Tahrir Square, months after the initial demonstrations had ousted Hosni Mubarak from the presidency.  Despite promised change the atmosphere was still uncertain and many people were still deeply concerned about unchecked police and military powers, as well as poverty and lack of political and social rights.

Protestors were being routinely tear gassed and charged by security services.  Protestors were staying in Tahrir Square 24/7 and had set up medical stations to attend to those injured.
